Grief-stricken Man Finds Joy

This man, who loves God, was crying as he shared his habit of drinking alcohol every evening to relieve his deep grief and loneliness.

 In a few short years, he had lost several family members, including his wife. 

We shared with him from Isaiah 53, where Isaiah prophesied that Christ would carry not only our sins, but also our sorrows, on the cross.  We were impressed when he grabbed a notebook to write it down. He followed us in a prayer to surrender his grief and ask Jesus to heal and comfort his heart. Praise God, 3 months later when we met him again he was beaming, shaking our hands and testified to finding joy again.
