The Borneo Island

Three nations occupy  Borneo: Eastern Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. Indonesia comprises 90% of the island and is called Kalimantan. Kalimantan has 5 provinces - North, South, West, Central and East. It is a one hour flight from Jakarta.

Since 2013 we  ministered predominantly in West Kalimantan. It's capital is Pontianak.

The Dayak Tribe

Many Dayak welcomed Catholic and Christian missions just one generation ago.  Some villages still lack congregations, Sunday Schools and Bibles.  Some are still minimally reached.

The majority live in villages near small towns or deep into the jungle often near rivers.  They are hospitable and friendly and cultivate the land and natural resources.
